Rapper Mos Def arrested in South Africa airport

The american entertainer commonly known as Mos Def has 14 days to leave South Africa after he was arrested for violating local immigration laws while trying to leave the country with an unrecognized “world passport”, a government spokesman said Friday. Apparently the rapper and actor, who now goes by the name Yasiin Bey, entered and has been living in south africa back in 2013 on an American passport and overstayed his visitors permit by 2014.

The Brooklyn born Bey starred in the “Italian Job”, “Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy”, “Chappelle’s Show”, and the sixth season of Showtimes hit show “Dexter” as well as countless solo Rap albums and Duo albums with Talib Kwali known as Black Star. He is expected to apply for bail Friday afternoon reports the South African news site City Press No matter what happens one thing is for sure and that is Bey will be banned from entering South Africa for the next 5 years
